Wagering requirements decide whether a casino bonus is a good deal or a trap. Enter the numbers from any offer below to see how much you need to bet in total and how much, on average, clearing the bonus is likely to cost.
How the calculator works
- Total to bet = (bonus, or deposit + bonus) × wagering multiplier ÷ game contribution.
- Expected cost = total to bet × house edge (100% − RTP). It is an average: real sessions can end much higher or lower.
- Expected value = bonus − expected cost. A positive number means the offer is worth taking on average.
The estimate ignores max cashout caps and bonus expiry, which can only reduce the value. Always check them in the terms. Our guide to bonus terms explains each one.
Worked examples
- €100 bonus, 35x bonus only, slots 100%, 96% RTP: €3,500 to bet, expected cost €140. Expected value −€40.
- €100 bonus, 20x bonus only, 97% RTP: €2,000 to bet, expected cost €60. Expected value +€40.
- €100 + €100, 35x deposit + bonus: €7,000 to bet, expected cost €280. Expected value −€180.
- Same bonus played on blackjack at 10% contribution: ten times the turnover. Usually not worth it.

Frequently asked questions
How is the wagering requirement calculated?
Multiply the amount the requirement applies to (bonus only, or deposit plus bonus) by the wagering multiplier, then divide by the game contribution percentage.
What does game weighting mean?
It is the share of each bet that counts towards wagering. Slots usually count 100%, while table games may count 10–20% or nothing at all.
Is a bonus with 35x wagering worth it?
It depends on the bonus size, the RTP of the games you play and the max cashout. The calculator estimates the average cost of clearing it so you can compare offers.
